Welcome to the one of the oldest wine taverns in Bratislava.
Vineyard house was built at the end of the 19th century on the former Schondorf Street where mostly wine makers lived. „Wine tavern law“ allowed them to sell and serve wine and small refreshment in the tavern marked by green branches on the wooden stick above the gate.
This building was bought by vineyard cooperative Vinorod in 1952 and its first wine tavern was opened and named „At peasant’s “ in 1956. The original modest assortment was completed by traditional meat specialties of its own butcher production.
Meals selection served today follows the tradition and history of this building. We offer Slovak meals, pork specialties and delicious roasted ducks. Classic delicacies should be drunk down with great barrel grape and currant wine or draught beer.
Since 2010 the vineyard house has been under reconstruction. Our goal is to preserve traditional impression and provide you excellent service.
